Found the unit has broken the front half of the wash tub causing the washer to vibrate badly. The customer declined any repairs on the unit. The customer also asked that I not reassemble the washer.

Maytag Dryer - Electric MHWE450WW00 10 years old. Appliance Repair: Maytag Dryer - Electric, Checked the washer over. Cycle tested the washer. Found the unit bearings are beginning to fail. This is causing the washer to not spin out properly. The cost of the repair exceeds the cost vof replacement. Maytag dryer: found the unit wiring has shorted at the terminal block. The terminal block, wiring and dryer cord need to be replaced for repair. Returned 3/1. Removed and replaced the terminal block, repaired wiring and replaced the dryer cord. The unit is now operating normally.
